This holiday season, I’m on the receiving end of the most wonderful gift ever. I get to make Touchy/Feely a reality. The time has finally arrived to get to work with the band. What started out as a simple get rich quick scam, has now evolved into something my lawyer informs me I’m legally required to follow through to it’s end.
Next week, before the Christmas Holiday, I’ll be traveling by private jet (thanks to your generous donations) to Upstate New York with 3 very fine musicians. A ragtag crew of international ladykillers collectively known as “The Daring Young Swingers”. We’ll lounge in the finest silks imported from the far East. Sip vintage wine from golden goblets (thanks again for your generous support) relax by a crackling log fire while isolated from the distracting ebb and flow of the maddening holiday crowd . All of this to guarantee that upon returning in January we are well rehearsed and ready to record the album of a lifetime. Touchy/Feely.
So, without further ado… I give you The Daring Young Swingers
Scott Metzger (born October 12, 1977) is a Brooklyn, New York based guitarist. Upon hearing him play at a festival in 2002 James Brown, the Godfather of Soul, told Scott that his guitar playing is “Frightening! I swear you play so much guitar it scares me!” His sound is a combination of his biggest musical influences-Eddie Hazel, Danny Gatton, Wes Montgomery, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Richard Thompson, Jimi Hendrix and the entire Stax recording label catalog.
Jeremy Chatzky is a bass player living in New York City, specializing in both upright and electric bass. He played on the Bruce Springsteen album the Seeger Sessions and toured with Springsteen as a member of the Sessions Band in 2006. That tour was documented on the Live In Dublin CD and DVD. He can be heard on the recent release by Ronnie Spector — Last of the Rock Stars — and performs with her regularly.
Steve Goulding (born 1954, South London, England) is an English drummer, best known for his memberships with Graham Parker and The Rumour, The Associates, Poi Dog Pondering and The Mekons. With the Associates he had a UK #9 hit single with “Party Fears Two”. He also played the drums on the hit single “Let’s Go to Bed” by The Cure and “Watching the Detectives” with Elvis Costello.

We are 84% of the way towards reaching our Kickstarter fundraising
Goal. With the total goal reached we’re gonna make “The Album of a
Lifetime”!! We’ve got just under 200 backers from all over the world.
USA, Aregentina, Spain, France, Italy, Australia, Japan and UK. This
is an all or nothing situation. WE ARE LESS THAN $2500 AWAY FROM
REACHING OUR GOAL BUT IF WE DON\’T REACH OUR $15,000 GOAL WE DON\’T
REVEIVE ANY OF THE FUNDING. OH AND DID I MENTION THE CLOCK IS TICKING?
THERE ARE LESS THAN 42 HOURS LEFT TO GO. Please support the Long
Playing Album As an artform. CLICK HERE TO Support Frank Bango\’s new
album project on Kickstarter… It feels good!! [1]
Suppose, JUST SUPPOSE we survive this hurricane, would it really be worth bottling all that water, buying all that spam, getting our affairs in order, if we come out on the other side to find a world without “Touchy/Feely”? I don’t know about you but that doesn’t sound like survival to me.
In other news:
This question is from Janet Rice, Long time listener, 1st time caller.
Janet asks, “Question-I would like to support your CD effort via Kickstarter. Just wondering what happens to my contribution if you don’t reach your $15,000.00 goal in time?”
Well Janet, That’s a good question and one I’m happy to answer.
The kickstarter campaign is an “all or nothing venture”. This means that I’ll only receive any of the pledges if I reach my enitre 15k goal. Kickstarter will take your credit card info through the Amazon.com payment system. When/If I reach my goal all the pledges will be processed at once (on september 3rd). If I don’t reach my goal no one’s pledge will be processed and life goes on. Albeit with a little less sweet sweet music.
Friends-
Things are moving along on the kickstarter front but we’re down to the wire and i could use your help. I really wanna complete this feel good pop album. below is a peek at what we’ve accomplished so far. please help if you can

This October brought a lot of great news. Looks like a new Album will get underway in January if all goes well. And the fine folks at Omega Watch Co. will be using the Simone White cover of Bango/Vesecky song Bunny in a Bunnysuit to sell their latest Ladymatic Wristwatch. If there’s something I’ve always been attracted to it’s a woman that knows what time it is. The people at Omega Watch Co. Know what time it is…Do you?
please stand by for more information on how you can be a part of “Touchy/Feely” the new Frank Bango album. In the meantime here’s a version of Bunny In A Bunnysuit from my last album “The Sweet Songs of Decay” featuring Sean Eden from Luna on Guitar.
Thanks

I watched The Daily Show Wednesday night and found it rather heartbreaking. Reminded me of a song I wrote a long time ago.
A Monster In Your Cookie Jar
You’ve lived through seven presidents and still not one has made a dent, the news is still the same each night before you go to bed…
